When you own your own business, you work hard at it every day; there isn't time to get away from the Ranch to show horses. But when you live and breathe horses like the O'Reilly's, a little showing goes a long way towards presenting what you have achieved.

Horses have always been a part of Ed and Donna's life. In 1988, Ed and Donna bought a small Ranchette, near Millarville, AB just 15 minutes from Calgary, to base their Cattle and Horse business.

In 1993 they added an indoor arena (known as the OReilly O'Rena) and soon had a very active facility with horse training, lessons, penning, sorting, and cow horse classes. The O'Reillys are proud of their family operation, the beehive stays buzzing through the year with everyone doing their part. Jenna and Jesse (the two O'Reilly daughters) stay busy with School and Barrel Racing.

Ed buys, sells, and trades horses all year round. He has been involved in trading horses, from breeding stock to performance mounts, for more than twenty five years. He has sold horses to every province in Canada, though out the USA, and as far away as Europe. Ed's reputation in the local market keeps his horses in high demand.

Donna keeps the indoor arena busy with lessons, seminars and clinics. She also puts together packages for the competitive penner and cow horsers. She has a great string of horses in which she cares for, hauls, and keeps tuned up for owners who only have time to compete. You can catch her at all the Penning and Cow Horse shows; showing her horses and coaching her students. They all work to keep the events going and contribute their success to hard work, honesty, and great cliental.
